      Melchoir de Forest III, son of Melchoir de Forest II, was born 1510. He married in 1533, Catherine du Fosset. He was a member of the brotherhood of St. Nicholas in 1533, and in 1562 was Sheriff of Avesnes. Lived in a large house in Avesnes in the central location facing the city Hotel of Avesnes. The house still exists today and is the present day location of the study of Me Bouq, Notary. He was also owner of another home in Guersignies where he resided after 1569. Melchoir was a merchant of clth goods. |
