Johann Conrad Weiser was the grandson of Conrad Weiser, the
noted Indian interpreter. Johann was the companion of Frederick
A. C. Muhlenberg on his journey to the forks of the Susquehanna
River, June 25-July 2, 1771. He farmed the Weiser homestead
until it was sold in 1791. Then he settled on land owned by his
father-in-law, Johann Philip Klinger.
