    she developed cancer and died at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.

    From Roanoke City Directories, I have the following notes:

    1930 Directory lists Herbert Likens R. 107 2nd NE ( assume this is Herbert who died in 1922)
    1940 Nothing
    1941 Nannie ( widow)
    1942 - Likens (spelled Likeus) Nannie B. (wid. of Jas.)
    1942-43 including Salem & Vinton
    Nannie B (wid. Jas.) h. Dale Ave. Vinton

    From the Roanoke Times Newspaper: "Likens, Mrs. Nannie B. died at Howell, Mich Dec 4, 1943".

    In the 1880 census Nannie is 6 years old so any other ages that she has reported in census's would be incorrect as she never told her real age. I doubt her mom gave the census taker the wrong age in 1880.

    Nannie is buried at Mount View Cemetery, Vinton, VA
