THE PEOPLE VERSUS E.A. SULLIVAN ON MOTION OF ATTORNEYS FOR DEFENDANT CONTINUED UNTIL NEXT TERM. DEFENDANT FOUND BAIL IN SUM OF $5,000.00 FOR HIS APPEARANCE THE FIRST DAY OF NEXT TERM. ENOS SULLIVAN AND JAMES MCDERMOTT BEING HIS SURETIES. THE PEOPLE VERSUS E.A. SULLIVAN MURDER IN THE SECOND DEGREE. ARRAIGNED AND PLEADED NOT GUILTY. CD. LONG FOR THE PEOPLE -- WM. NEWTON AND OSCAR BRADLEY FOR THE DEFENDANT.

THE PEOPLE VERSUS J. MCDERMOTT ASSAULT 8 BATTERY -- MOTION OF ATTORNEYS TO CONTINUE UNTIL NEXT TERM. C.D. LONG FOR THE PEOPLE.

NOV. 5, 1887
JAMES MCDERMOTT OWNS THE LIVERY BARN PROPERTY AT THE CORNER OF KEARSLEY & HARRISON STREETS NOW OCCUPIED BY ENOS SULLIVAN AND HAS SOLD HIS BARN PROPERTY ON FIRST STREET TO W.S. WILSON, WHO IS TO HAVE POSSESSION ON NOV. 10TH MR. MCDERMOTT CLAIMS THAT MR. SULLIVAN'S LEASE EXPIRED ON NOV. 1ST AND HE EXPECTED HIM TO VACATE & GIVE HIM A PLACE TO PUT HIS OWN STOCK, BUT THERE SEEMS TO BE A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE LEASE & SULLIVAN REFUSES TO VACATE, SO MCDERMOTT HAS COMMENCED LEGAL PROCEEDINGS TO GET POSSESSION OF THE PROPERTY.

NOV. 12, 1887
JAMES MCDERMOTT HAS MOVED INTO HIS LIVERY BARN ON KEARSLEY STREET. MR. SULLIVAN MOVED A PART OF HIS STOCK TO THE CENTRE HOUSE BARN & A PART TO THE BARN NORTH OF THE ELECTRIC LIGHT WORKS. MR. DILLEY IS DOING BUSINESS AT MCDERMOTT'S OLD STANDS.

JULY 23, 1887
ROGER SULLIVAN, A LITTLE SON OF EDWARD SULLIVAN -- 1 WARD, FELL FROM A SHED & BROKE HIS ARM ON TUES. THE FRACTURE WAS REDUCED BY DR. N. BATES.
